Local Employers Urged to Jump on Board Great Jobs Initiative

Local employers are being urged to jump on board the Great Jobs initiative and register their employment vacancies for free!

Businesses across the Great South Coast are being encouraged to list employment vacancies on the Great Jobs website in a bid to attract new residents to the region.

Melbournians are currently being targeted as part of a push by the Great South Coast to attract new residents, investment and workers to the region in the lead up to the 2015 Regional Living Expo.

The Great South Coast Group of Councils - Colac Otway, Corangamite, Glenelg, Moyne, Southern Grampians and Warrnambool - are launching the second phase of a major marketing campaign in Melbourne this month.

Digital advertising is underway in the metro area encouraging people to escape peak hour and relocate to the Great South Coast.

A key part of the campaign is the Great Jobs website, the new and free employment website, which is available for businesses to advertise any job vacancies they have now and in the future.

"We want to encourage local businesses across the Great South Coast region to jump on board the Great Jobs website and list their jobs – it's easy to do and it's free," said Great South Coast Executive Officer, Karen Foster.

The campaign will run until May 2015, targeting people living in Melbourne and directing them to the site, where they can easily find and view jobs listed, as well as access broader information about the region.
