Encounter Lutheran College
Encounter Lutheran College is a thriving school of over 750 students from Early Learning to Year 12, with a heart for community and a desire to nurture the social, emotional, academic and spiritual elements of all young people. With teaching and learning following the Australian Curriculum, we provide the additional benefit of offering the Primary Years Program (ELC-Year 6) and Middle Years Program (Year 7-9) of the International Baccalaureate. When students reach Senior School (Year 10-12) they embrace all that is offered from the SACE (South Australian Certificate of Education).
Encounter’s nurturing Early Learning Centre enables families to support their children as they transition from a pre-school environment into our broader College context. Children enrolled in our Early Learning Centre make friends, build rapport with staff, become familiarised with the College campus and are able to move into Foundation (Reception) prepared and excited for their school years. Encounter also operates Out of School Hours Care and Vacation Care services, delivered by YMCA.
Whether from a faith background or not, it’s important for all families to feel welcome at Encounter. We also want families to know the heart of our College is centred on Christ’s message of compassion, respect and love for all. Encounter is fortunate to have a committed and balanced staff team, who endeavour to meet all needs of the young people in their care.
